Leader for EYFS – Harriet Holdsworth

My name is Harriet Holdsworth, and I am the Subject Leader for EYFS. Having taught for many years across EYFS and nursery settings, I have gained extensive experience in creating a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum that supports children as they begin their journey through school.

I believe that EYFS is a vital part of a child’s school experience, providing strong foundations for their future learning and development. It is a time when children are encouraged to explore, develop their curiosity, build resilience and grow in confidence and independence. Through purposeful play and engaging learning experiences, we aim to nurture each child and help them develop a positive attitude towards learning from the very beginning.

As EYFS Subject Leader, I work closely with our EYFS team to ensure that children experience a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment in which they feel safe, valued and excited to learn. My aim is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and confidence, establishing strong foundations that will support them as they continue their journey through school.
