Our learning environment

Eagles Class has a fully equipped classroom purposely designed to meet the needs of pupils who require a bespoke curriculum. Core learning, such as phonics, reading, writing maths and science, as well as non-core subjects, is delivered through a range of learning activities and resources that are designed to help every child make progress from their starting points in each curriculum area.

Our fully immersive sensory room has a range of sensory equipment designed to suit children with a range of needs. The sensory room includes a calm space for regulation and has technology to explore light and sound. In here, children can relax with a range of colourful displays or light shows and immerse themselves in calming sounds or music. Alternatively, they can use the space to ignite their senses and investigate their curiosity.

Two additional rooms provide the pupils in Eagles Class the opportunity to have time away from the main classroom, should they need it. This could be for an individual or group activities or interventions. One of the rooms has calm lighting that can be used to support regulation; the other room is set up as a learning area that can be used if a quieter working environment is needed.
