Welcome to Eagles Class

Eagles Class is a Resource Specialist Provision within Waltham Gateway Academy. Children who are based in Eagles Class receive additional provision to meet their SEMH needs and, with support, access their mainstream class on a bespoke basis that is tailored to their needs. We offer places to up to 12 children, ranging from Reception to Year 4, who have an EHCP.

Our aim and vision

The children who are based in Eagles Class are very much part of the Waltham Gateway Academy community and it is our aim that, with the right support and at the right pace, the children will be able to access some of their learning with their peers in their chronological aged class, and that this will gradually increase over time. To achieve this, the team within the Eagles Class will work closely with each child to build secure attachments and relationships, identify barriers and deliver tailored academic, social and emotional interventions, that will equip each child with the building blocks they need to be successful.
